Outstanding facilities and services provided by some of the best health care professionals in the state have allowed our medical community to become a major referral site for north central Arkansas.
Services
White County Medical Center (pictured below) has a combined total of 438 licensed beds. The hospital’s complete selection of services includes acute care, rehabilitation, geriatric psychiatry and inpatient hospice. Offering advanced technology, WCMC has state-of-the-art equipment, including an Open MRI and a 64-slice CT. The medical staff consists of over 150 physicians representing a wide variety of specialties. White County Medical Center is the second-largest employer in Searcy, with over 1350 associates living, working and raising families in Searcy and the surrounding communities. The hospital serves a six-county area of Cleburne, Independence, White, Jackson, Woodruff and Prairie.
In addition, residents find quality health services at the White County Health Department and through other local healthcare providers. The health department offers a wide variety of services, from adult health maintenance and immunizations to family clinics and home health care. There are two urgent care offices in Searcy offering medical care after hours and on weekends.
Comprehensive oncology and radiation therapy can be found at CARTI-Searcy. The non-profit agency has been serving the heath care needs of Arkansas for over 20 years. Most recently a partnership has been formed between CARTI and WCMC to build a new cancer treatment center in Searcy.
There are also two independent living facilities; River Oaks Village and Harding Place. River Oaks Village, Searcy Healthcare Center, Oakdale Nursing Facility and Byrd Haven offer assisted living care.
