Located in North Central Arkansas, Searcy rests in the Foothills of the Ozarks. The gently rolling terrain supports a humid, sub-tropical climate during most of the year with relatively short, mild winters and long, warm summers.

Searcy's central location allows for convenient access to transportation services. Searcy is located less than one hour north of the Little Rock National Airport, Little Rock River Port and the intersection of Interstates 30 and 40. The 50 miles are quickly covered via four-lane, divided US Highway 67/167. Memphis is a two hour drive east on US Highway 64. Passing through Searcy, Highway 67/167 offers access to many major cities. In addition to 67/167 there are also many U.S. and state highways that offer good access. The Searcy Municipal Airport can accommodate aircraft up to the G5 classification. There is a 6,008 ft. lighted runway with a precision instrument landing system. A manned intercom system is active during the business day. Jet fuel is available 24 hours a day and tie-downs are provided free at the Searcy Airport. An average of 50 planes uses the Searcy Airport daily.

Searcy has local taxi service and rental-car agencies. Rail service for goods into and out of Searcy is provided by the Shortline Doniphan, Kensett, and Searcy Railroad and the mainline Union Pacific Railroad. The city is served by 20 truck lines.
